FAQs
What is personal color analysis?
1
Personal color analysis finds the colors your face was built for. At The Chroma Edit, we drape fabric under your chin in natural light and watch what happens. The right colors make your skin settle and your eyes come forward. The wrong ones compete with you. You leave with your season, your best colors and your best metal, and you understand why.
The Chroma Edit offers personal color analysis in Baltimore and Washington, DC. Book a session in your home, join a pop-up at one of our partner boutiques, or gather friends for a color party. Upcoming pop-ups are listed on the Book Your Session page.

How much does color analysis cost in Baltimore?
3
The Pop-Up Edit is $115 for a 40 minute, 12 season analysis. The Full Chroma is $295 for a 90 minute, 16 season analysis in your home, or $540 for two people. A Color Party is $405 for 3 guests, $500 for 4 and $575 for 5. The Bridal Edit is $350 for 2 hours, plus $125 for each person you add.
Both read the same three things: undertone, value and chroma. Are you warm or cool, light or deep, bright or soft? The 12 season system sorts you into four seasons with three subseasons each. The 16 season system splits each season four ways, which catches the subtle differences between close neighbors. Pop-ups and color parties use 12 seasons. The Full Chroma and The Bridal Edit use 16.

Do you do color analysis for brides?

How should I prepare?
Come with a bare face or very little makeup. Skip self tanner for a week and leave colored contacts at home. Colored hair is fine. We work close to your skin, so your face leads the reading, not your hair.
Does my season change as I get older?
9
Your undertone stays the same your whole life. Your contrast doesn't. When your hair goes silver, the colors that worked at 35 can start to feel off at 55. Nobody told you that. Now you know, and the fix is usually a shift within your palette, not a whole new one.
Do you work with companies and nonprofits?
10
Yes. The Chroma Edit brings color analysis to corporate events, brand activations and nonprofit fundraisers across Baltimore and DC. Visit the Corporate & Nonprofit Events page or reach out through Contact.
